AGENCY: Wizdom Media

BACKGROUND: Wizdom Media is a full-service graphic design agency, founded in New York City. Servicing clients of all sizes from a wide variety of industries, Wizdom Media specializes in print, digital, and event design.

CHALLENGE: Create a hybrid website that would be mainly HTML, while using Flash™ for some interactivity, with goal of improving Wizdom Media’s SEO search results. To offset the previous website’s dark theme, it was requested this website utilized color for each page’s main hero section with imagery that was be a bit more personal and fun.

PROCESS: In order to create imagery that would be more personal, as much original photography as possible was used. Stock photography filled in any gaps. To personalize the website, it was decided we would create custom environments per page, with some pages being fully interactive. The environments would be separate places that the user would journey through.

1. The “Design” (home page) and “Disciplines” pages would be in our office.
2. The “Portfolio” page would be in an art gallery.
3. The “Persona” and “Explore” pages would be a street scene.
4. The “Netherworld” page would be in the subway.

RESULTS: Search engines were much more easily able to crawl the website for content, and Wizdom Media’s information was appearing much higher in search results for design agencies, leading to an increase in client interest, and business growth.
